Lip filler

Volume, shape and definition tailored to your face, never overfilled.

Lip filler uses hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the skin, to add volume, improve shape and definition, balance uneven lips and soften fine lines around the mouth. We use small, gradual amounts so the result still looks like you.

Every treatment starts with a face-to-face medical consultation. The GP checks your medical history and medications, talks through what you would like to change, and tells you honestly what is achievable.

Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if needed. It is one reason we consider it one of the safer filler options.

What lip filler can help with
  • Thin or flat lips
  • Uneven or asymmetric lips
  • Loss of definition along the lip border
  • Volume loss with age
  • Fine lines around the mouth

Age is just a number

Lip filler for mature lips

Lips naturally lose volume and definition with age, and fine lines can form around the mouth. A small amount of filler can restore shape and soften those lines while still looking like you.

Your GP tells you honestly what is achievable and takes a gentle, gradual approach. Many mature patients choose 0.55ml for a subtle refresh.

  • Restore lost lip volume
  • Redefine the lip border
  • Soften lines around the mouth
  • A natural result, nothing overdone

Your safety

Why GP-led aesthetics matters

The UK aesthetics industry is largely unregulated. Anyone can legally inject anti-wrinkle treatments or fillers without medical training. At OUR GP, your treatment is prescribed and administered by a GMC-registered doctor — and that makes a significant difference.

The difference between GP-led aesthetics and a non-medical practitioner isn’t just about qualifications — it’s about what happens when something goes wrong, whether you are suitable for a treatment, and whether you’re being given honest advice or just what you want to hear. Our GP will decline to treat if a treatment is not right for you. That’s not a limitation — it’s the point.

Prescription safety

Anti-wrinkle injections use a prescription-only medicine. Our GP prescribes it after a proper medical consultation — assessing your health, medications, and suitability before any needle is used.

Honest clinical assessment

We will tell you honestly if we think a treatment isn’t right for you, or if a different approach would give a better result. That’s a medical obligation — not a sales conversation.

Complication management

Rare complications do occur. Our GP can recognise and manage vascular occlusion, infection, and other serious adverse events — something many non-medical practitioners cannot.

Regulated & insured

Our GP holds a GMC licence to practise, carries full medical indemnity insurance, and is regulated by Healthcare Improvement Scotland. You have full recourse if anything goes wrong.

GP-led means medically safe

All aesthetic treatments at OUR GP are performed by our GP — not a beautician or therapy-trained practitioner. A medical consultation is always included, and we will be honest if a treatment is not right for you. Your safety and long-term wellbeing come first.

No. We use small amounts and build gradually. If you would like a little more, it can be discussed at your 2-week review.

Most patients describe it as uncomfortable rather than painful. The filler contains a local anaesthetic, and numbing cream can be used beforehand.

Usually around 6–12 months, depending on your metabolism and the amount used.

Your result is checked two weeks after a new treatment, once swelling has settled. If a small adjustment is needed, we discuss it then. The review is included in the new-patient price.

Yes. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if you are unhappy with the result or if there is a complication.
