If your question isn’t answered below, contact us before booking and we’ll be happy to advise which package is right for you. Why are your packages so much cheaper than booking individual tests? Our packages bundle tests together at a significantly reduced per-test rate compared to our individual test pricing, which itself already includes the GP review and phlebotomy. When you book a package, the lab processes multiple samples in a single batch run, which reduces cost. We pass that saving on to you. The Well Man Silver, for example, combines 15+ individual markers that would cost considerably more if booked separately — with the GP review and written report on top, the saving versus individual booking is often in excess of £700. What’s included in the package price? Every health screening package at OUR GP is all-inclusive. The price covers the pre-test GP review, professional phlebotomy (blood draw), all laboratory analysis fees at our accredited UK partner laboratory, GP review of every result, and a written report sent to you by email. There are no hidden laboratory fees, reporting fees, or additional consultation charges. The only potential extra is EMLA numbing cream if you request it for needle anxiety. Do I need to fast before my health screen? It depends on which tests are included in your package. For packages containing cholesterol (lipid profile), fasting glucose, or HbA1c, we recommend fasting for 8–10 hours beforehand for the most accurate results. You should continue to drink water. We will confirm fasting requirements when you book and include a reminder with your appointment confirmation. If you are unsure, please ask us when booking. How quickly will I get my results? Most routine health screen results are returned within 2–5 working days. Some specialist tests — particularly hormone panels, autoimmune markers, and allergy profiles — may take slightly longer. You will receive a written GP report by email rather than a raw lab printout, with each marker explained in plain English. If any result is significantly abnormal, your GP will contact you directly by phone before the written report is sent. Will my results be shared with my NHS GP? No — by default, your health screening results are private and are not shared with your NHS GP or anyone else. If you would like us to send a copy to your NHS GP or another clinician, we can do so at your request. Your results are held securely in our private records system. Can I add a test to a package, or create a bespoke panel? Yes. In many cases it is possible to add an individual test to an existing package at a reduced rate. Bespoke panels can also be arranged — if you have specific tests you want combined, contact us and we will put together a personalised quotation.
